How to help
Seventh Art Productions has partnered with Save the Children UK and Afghan Aid to help support the amazing work that these two charities do in Afghanistan.
Any donations will be split three ways. 1) To benefit Mir’s wider community through the work that Afghan Aid does with community support projects in northern Afghanistan, 2) to support rural education programmes run by Save the Children such as Accelerated Learning Centres which help children who’ve missed out on school catch up on their studies to the point where they can join mainstream schools again, and 3) Mir’s own fund for his education.
Seventh Art Productions set up a fund for Mir when he was eight and donations resulting from The Boy who Plays on the Buddhas of Bamiyan have been going into this fund. This money is now being delivered to Mir and his family with support from our charity partners to aid Mir to make the right financial choices for his future.
